Master List of Articles
From eoswiki.co.uk
As explained on the “Main” page relating to this section of our Website, the articles dealing with the topics in relation to which we are most anxious to advance understanding have been grouped under seven headings. Of these, the most important are in groups 1, 2, and 6. Some articles appear under more than one heading.
Some of the articles and chapters in the first group, Understanding and influencing social processes; Creating a Learning Society; New Forms of Democracy and Bureaucracy; Sustainability; Sociocybernetics develop the concepts of sociocybernetics and autopoiesis, their effects, and how they can be mapped and harnessed. Others deal with the nature of wealth, quality of life, the state of the planet, and the operation of current monetary and politico-bureaucratic managements systems. The developments needed to create the pervasive climate of innovation and learning required to ameliorate the disasters which so obviously face us are also discussed.
Group 2: Some Problematics consists mainly of articles dealing with major conceptual and methodological issues which pose problems for social science.
The articles in Group 3: Problems with Current Psychological Measurement and Evaluation Techniques deal with what, on the surface, appears to be the more limited topic of deficiencies in the psychometric model that informs most current psychological testing and evaluation. However, it also emerges that these assessment procedures make a major contribution to the network of social forces driving us toward the hierarchical society that contributes so importantly to the processes heading us toward our extinction as a species.
The articles in Group 4: summarise research into The Nature, Development, and Assessment of Competence.
The articles in Group 5: The Role of Psychologist highlight the need for psychologists to embrace a more significant role in the running of society.
Group 6: Education comprises the author’s contribution to the clarification of educational goals, their achievement, and their evaluation – and their implications for the management of the educational system itself.
Group 7 consists of articles summarising the author’s work with Raven’s Progressive Matrices.
Understanding and influencing social processes; Creating a Learning Society; New Forms of Democracy and Bureaucracy; Sustainability; Sociocybernetics.
